This restaurant mural in front of Long Island City’s Beija Flor is by Brazilian street artist Mag Magrela. The two nude, blue-haired women harboring halves of a broken boat were painted to shed light on hardships faced in her hometown of São Paul. Beija Flor means flower kisser in Portuguese and it is also used to refer to the hummingbird.
