A TJ Mizell mural just popped up in Manhattan’s Lower East Side. When Hennessy wanted to do it big for their 8th annual limited edition bottle release, they made TJ Mizell, son of Hip Hop icon Jam Master Jay of Run DMC, the face for this special occasion. TJ Mizell is a well-known DJ for A$AP Ferg and since partnering up with Portuguese artist Vhils and Manhattan’s Little Italy Project, he’s also now the face of this chiseled L.E.S. mural.
In an interview with VH1, Mizell shed light on Hip Hop’s connection to the brand and what it means to him.
“My father had bottles of Hennessy in our wall units as decoration, so Hennessy has been on my rider forever. Not to pigeonhole them with hip hop but as long as I can remember everyone in that industry praised the brand.”
